Its only location in Australia, Linear Clinical Research were operating out of the QEII Medical Centre in Perth, the facility required a larger premises to meet the high need of medical research in Australia.

After working closely with the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and the Linear Clinical Research team for over 2 years, Interite Healthcare Interiors are thrilled to finally announce the completion of the new Linear Clinical Research fit out project in Joondalup, Perth, WA. The facility is called the Joondalup Early Phase Centre.

Spanning across one floor of approximately 900m2 the clinical trial site is equipped to temporarily home up to 24 in-patients while they contribute to valuable research programs, assisting in the progression of healthcare. There are three separate zones to support infection control and the provision of multiple trial designs.

This truly is a facility designed to enhance patient and staff experience; our design team has conformed to compliance regulations and designed a space not only to function as a healthcare facility but also a workplace and living space.

Extensive consultation with all users of the existing Linear Clinical Research space was a significant component of this project. Staff movements were tracked to report how improvements in the new floor plan can reduce employee fatigue and increase operational efficiency and output.

An innovative and stylish design brings this research facility into the 21st century and truly reflects the world-class status of the organisation and its sponsors.

With natural timber finishes and a calming colour palette with the use of biophilic design the space promotes wellbeing and a connection to nature with the interior.

The Joondalup Early Phase Centre will give all users a five-star hotel experience with all the comforts of home; a home away from home for those having a lengthier stay for their program needs.

Easy to clean flooring, healthcare application approved, as well as acoustic properties to minimise echo and provide acoustic security in confidential spaces was well considered and applied throughout the space.

The centre is sophisticated and remarkable, in its design and its contribution the advancement of healthcare on a global scale.
